Youth taking part in HIV/AIDs awareness campaign and education!

Year 2013 and 2014 YUSOM initiated a 'Jitambue Campaign' meaning 'Know yourself'-HIV/AIDs awareness campaign targeting young people in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa. The project saw us reach more than 300,000 young people through mass media.  YUSOM believes that the future course of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Kenya depends in large part on the behaviour of the young generation. Young people between the ages of 15 and 30 are at the peak of realising and enjoying their sexuality. This comes with a lot of health risks. It is therefore a call to young people to come out together and say ‘Tujitambue…tujijue’….we are the ones to know our selves and stop the spread of HIV in Kenya.
